When you turn on your air conditioning unit, set it to high. An air conditioner performs best when it circulates the air in the room. The unit’s power consumption will drop the faster the air is cooled. Set the unit to low once the room temperature has reached the level you want. Turn off the air conditioning unit when not in use.

To circulate the air in your home and achieve a cooler atmosphere, turn on your ceiling fan when your air conditioner is in use.

The filter should be cleaned regularly to make sure it is free from dust. Filters should be cleaned or replaced every month. A dusty filter will reduce the efficiency of the air conditioner.
